Course Summary
In this session, the audience will become familiar with the process of introducing new radiopharmaceuticals into the practice of nuclear medicine using Rb-82 and Lu-177 PSMA as examples. Key steps to creating a successful business plan and understanding communication styles suited for executive administration will be explored. A detailed discussion on the future of nuclear oncology will also be conducted with a focus on the operation of radiopharmaceutical therapies. 

Course Objectives:

  • Become familiar with the difficulties of offering a new service in nuclear medicine.
  • List the key steps to starting a cardiac PET program. 
  • Discuss the current use of radioligand therapy in the clinic, and the future of Theranostics.
  • Recognize the key steps to open a Theranostics center.
