Announcing the Younis-Bashir Award

The Younis-Bashir Award has been introduced by Dr. Mohammad Numair Younis and Dr. Humayun Bashir for the best presentation from Pakistan (oral or poster) at the Annual meeting of the ACNM (mid-winter SNMMI meeting).

The objective of this award is to encourage the Nuclear Medicine fraternity in Pakistan to reach out and share their clinical and research work in the international arena.  

Younis and Bashir are contemporary physicians from Pakistan who started their careers in Nuclear Medicine together at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre (SKMCH&RC) in Lahore, Pakistan. Younis has spent the past 20 years in the public sector at the Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Oncology Lahore (INMOL) - the flagship medical center of the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission. Bashir has been associated with SKMCH&RC for the better part of his medical career, as a resident, consultant, and Head of the Nuclear Medicine Department, and is currently based in the United Kingdom.

Eligibility Criteria: Abstracts originating from Pakistan (oral or poster) submitted to the annual ACNM meeting

Award winner to be selected by the scientific committee of the ACNM annual meeting.
