ACNM Gold Medal Award

The ACNM Gold Medal recognizes individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the field of nuclear medicine and molecular imaging.  Nominations may be submitted by ACNM members and fellows in good standing with the College. Self-nominations will not be accepted.

Nominations must include:

  • The name of the individual being nominated
  • A copy of the nominee’s CV
  • A nomination letter explaining the reason why the person should be considered
  • The nominator’s contact information.
 

Please submit nominations to acnm@acnmonline.org and reference the Nominee’s name and Award in the subject line. Nominations should be received by May 31 each year.

The Recipient of this prestigious award should satisfy the following principal pillars of achievement:

  • Demonstrated leadership (Clinical/Education/Research/Administrative) in the field of nuclear medicine and molecular imaging
  • Demonstrated peer recognition in scholarly activity
 

General Selection Criteria
Nationally or internationally recognized individual (physician, scientist, radiopharmacist) with exceptional and outstanding contributions to the field of nuclear medicine and molecular imaging.

Medal Presentation
The ACNM Gold Medal will be presented to the recipient during the ACNM Annual Meeting by the ACNM President.  The awardee must be present at the ACNM Annual Meeting to receive the award. If the selected awardee cannot be present to accept the award in person, then he/she may be considered again for the following year.  An exception is made, and the award will still be presented to an absent awardee in the rare event of permanent disability or death that occurs in the interval between the date of the final selection and the date of the award presentation.
