The Government Relations Committee shall keep itself informed on all federal legislative and regulatory activities relevant to the practice of Nuclear Medicine, inform the membership of such activities, and, if appropriate, recommend a course of action and a position to be adopted by the College; coordinate, in conjunction with the Executive Director, testimony by members of the College or others before legislative or regulatory bodies; and respond to and influence Congress and regulatory agencies to create a regulatory environment that promotes the practice of quality Nuclear Medicine.
