Course Summary
The talk will discuss myocardial flow reserve.
Course Objectives:
- Discuss the major physiological determinants of myocardial blood flow (MBF), blood flow reserve (MBFR) and coronary flow capacity (CFC).
- Interpret MBF, MBFR and CFC data clinically.
- Discuss the evidence base supporting the role of MBF MBFR and CFC to identify patients at risk of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality compared to coronary artery calcium (CAC), stenosis and fractional flow reserve.
- Discuss similarities and differences of PET and CZT SPECT myocardial blood flow (MBF) and MBF Reserve (MBFR) in the performance, clinical practice, diagnostic and prognostic implications.
